As far back as I can remember, I've been drawn to the world of interior design. My debut project, at the tender age of 6, was redesigning my own bedroom. Armed with a tape measure, paper and pencil, I meticulously drafted my first scaled furniture plan. Little did I know that this early fascination would become my lifelong passion.

My path to becoming an interior designer took a few interesting detours along the way. I initially pursued advertising and relocated from Michigan to Chicago. While I tried my hand at the corporate world, I soon realized it wasn’t my true calling. A chance opportunity in the film industry as a location scout opened new doors for me. And the creative magic I encountered was ignited when I worked closely with the art department. I dipped my toe in, taking a few art classes before fully enrolling in a design program, initially intending to transition into set design. However, my heart led me to work one-on-one with homeowners.

Before launching Rhonda Angell Interior Design, I gained valuable experience working with several construction firms, allowing me to learn the intricacies of ground-up construction, enriching my skill set as a well-rounded designer.

I’m also a LEED Green Associate, passionate about sustainable design. I’m here to advise and assist you if this aligns with your goals.

Outside of work, I'm an avid cyclist, animal lover and herb-gardening-wannabe. And somehow, I’ve mastered the art of falling asleep to any TV show that starts at 10pm!
